I started writing this as a post on my blog facebook page but it was just getting way too long so I decided to write it as a blog post. With everything going on in Ireland with the Instagram page “BloggersUnveiled” this topic has been on my mind for some time now. It shows how much people take on what influncers/bloggers/youtubers do. Those titles come with responsibilitys and we need to be more honest! Now a days it is hard as you cant always tell what is real or not on social media. Even though we can do whatever we want with our blogs I just find it very important to be honest.
For me it is all more important that what I say or do is to be honest & true about anything. I create my stuff for people to put their faith in my opinions, trust what I say and for them to make up their mind on the purchasing decisions.
We don’t have to love everything we try and that’s what makes us more real and more relatable! I have faced the fact that there is absolutely noting wrong with saying you didn’t like something because in fact people will be more likely to trust you when you are not always saying every product you try is great.
When I started blogging and started getting things sent to me, I wanted to just like everything so I wouldn’t need to tell a PR company that I didn’t like something so they would keep me on the list but I realised how ridiculious that was because you deserve as my followers to hear what I really think of the items. I cannot be fake and pretend to like a product when I don’t! There has been products I didn’t review because I didn’t like them at all but than again certain things come down to personal preference and you need to remember that. I have not been paid to write or review anything but in the future if I am I will be staying true to it all and being honest about it!
As a blogger you got to think the long run and not short run as it will all be worth it later on.
I havnt been blogging the last while as I have been so busy with work and everything around the Christmas Period, Now that its all over I am here to get back into it! I am feeling sick the last few days (Always am around Christmas) so todays post will be short. But lately I have seen other bloggers posting about there favourite Snapchatters and I think this is a great way to find new people to follow!
This is my first Halloween look for 2015! I done this gangster clown inspired by the one and only Chrisspy!
If you dont know who she is, look her up on youtube, RIGHT NOW!!! She is one of my favourite MUAs out there. I fell in love with this look when I first seen it! Products used are items you would already have in your makeup bag- So give it a go 🙂
This outfit is two things I wanted for coming into the winter season; A shirt dress and Thigh high boots! And I ended up buying each of these this week. I love the long buttoned up shirt/dress look and this pattern and colour is my fav for this season! This time last year I have had my eye on a pair of thigh high boots I wasnt going to give in as they can go out of fashion as quick as they came in but when I seen these pair for €50 they had to be got..
This months favourite blogger is another Irish beauty blogger,Youtuber and MUA to add to the list! and its none other than Grace Mongey, Known as Faces By Grace.
I have been following Grace for over a year now but I just love her. If you have her on snapchat (facesbygrace23) she will keep you entertained for the day with her snapchats of food and her cat Sasha. She posts daily about her weight loss journey, her gym workouts, little tips and tricks for makeup application, skincare. Not only does she do these things but she is very open with how she struggled with anxiety and depression, I admire her for that! I met Grace at So Sue Mes waterford workshop (going mad I never got a picture!!) but she looks amazing and just genuienly a lovely, down to earth person. She works for bare Minerals and also does freelance.
Cleaning make up brushes has been hated since my make up loving existence. My main problem with cleaning my brushes is that my fingers turn into prunes. Anyway, I am going to show you how I clean my make up brushes.
Cleaning your makeup brushes is SO important! Your brushes can last years if you treat them correctly, Ive had some of these brushes 5 years now and they are still as good as new.Its hard to believe how much bacteria collects up in your brushes, than that goes onto your face. Which than that of causes spots and unwanted bacteria on your face. So how often should you clean your make up brushes? I think once a week is ideal. You will need a gentle cleanser and you can also get a professional brush spray to use daily if you’d like to use in between your deep clean, this will ensure you’re getting rid of any bacteria gathered in your brushes.
Heres a step by step guide to making your brushes looking as good as new. You can buy make up brush cleaner i.e Mac Brush Cleaner but if you dont want to break the bank than all you need is baby shampoo.
The last things I needed i my life was more eyeshadow palettes… But a girl can never have enough! I cant believe how late I was to try this brand. Trying something from them has been so overdue! I came across a small stand in a shop on holidays with these palettes on them and I was delighted. I have to say these palettes are so gorgeous! Im afraid to start using them because I want to keep them in perfect condition.
